2012 Summer Camps  Abu Dhabi

Its soon to be hot hot hot and school holidays! Summer camps are a fab way to keep your kids busy in Abu Dhabi this coming July and August.

If you are planning to stay in Abu Dhabi this summer but dread the thought of staying indoors the whole time with the kids following you around the house like mother duck, check out your summer camp options.

Summer 2011 had a great selection of kids camps with some really competitive prices which mean summer 2012 should be even better..

Most activities range from 5 years up, but some start as young as 20 months with very reasonable rates and timeframes.

Our favourites from last year (2011) were...

The Jigsaw Nursery (Karama or MBZ) - for toddlers through to six year olds, great for siblings to attend the same venue.

Hiltonia Beach Club - all day fun, including swimming for 4yrs and up.

Arabesque Ballet Center, Princess Camp - offering a week long dance camp for your little darling aged 4-7yrs

Summer Camps 2012

Here is a heads up on what to expect this summer.  Its still early days so many of the programs are yet to be finalised. But gladly most of the popular camps will be returning, so we can hazard a guess at what you and your munchkins can expect.

Get in early and contact your favourites now to join thier mailing lists, as these camps fill up fast and you don't want to miss out!

Kids Holiday Activities Abu Dhabi

For a comprehensive list of what's on offer for you little darlings in Abu Dhabi throughout the year, check out AbuDhabiKidz.biz - a great local parenting website!

Most of the Soft Play Centres in the various Malls around the capital are a senisble option for smaller kids if 'an outing' is all you need. They are cheaper than a summer camp and will allow your child to 'stretch their legs'.

Keep in mind that many malls and soft plays will have altered or reduced hours during Ramadan this August and none of the eating facilities will be open for a snack before or after playtime.

Another great option/alternative is the St Andrews Church Hall Toddler/Baby Group that costs 15 AED and will hopefully continue (providing there are plenty of volunteers) to run Mon-Thurs Mornings throughout summer 2012.
